CBAAC Inter – Relationship With Other Agencies

CBAAC is a cultural institution with  a mandate to promote and propagate understanding of the cultural heritage of the Black and African peoples.

In pursuit of this global mandate, CBAAC has established and maintained fruitful relationships with other bodies and agencies in  areas such as funding, exchange of cultural materials, publications, joint sponsorship of workshops, exhibitions, cultural festivals and seminars.
These Agencies include:-

  • The cultural arm of foreign embassies and Nigerian missions abroad.

  • Ministries of Culture and Tourism in Black and African nations.

  • Commonwealth Association of Museum Group for Children in Africa.

  • United States Information Service

  • West African Museum Project (WAMP)

  • International Council of Museum (ICOM)

  • International Centre for Bantu Civilization (CICIBA)

  • United Nations Educational Scientific Cultural Organisation (UNESCO)

  • British Council

  • Goethe Institute

It is envisaged that very soon the Centre would enter into collaborative relationships with the following organisation:

  •  Ford Foundation
  •  Society for Research into Culture (SORAC)
  •  Smithsonian Institute.
  •  United States Agency for International Development.
